A YORKSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER WHO DREAMS IN COLOUR.

I’m a Yorkshire wedding photographer who dreams in stylish, vibrant colour. My philosophy is simple: MAXIMUM IMPACT, MINIMUM FUSS.

I capture the atmosphere, the anticipation, and the absolute scenes that follow — cinematic, magazine-grade images, without taking you away from the party.

You won’t feel stiff or uneasy. I guide you naturally, with the kind of Northern warmth and banter that gets you relaxed and back to the action fast. That’s the deal.

LET’S MAKE WEDDING MEMORIES THAT HIT LIKE YOUR FAVOURITE ALBUM.

More Than Just A Photographer...

I’m Nicholas, a Yorkshire wedding photographer, born and bred in Wakefield. As a kid I dreamed of being a cameraman on Blue Peter. I never did stick a ship to a toilet roll tube — but I do get to point a camera at people’s best day instead. Just a different setting.

My Philosophy: Celebration First, Photos Second

Weddings are celebrations. My job is to make sure you spend most of your time with your loved ones, soaking up every moment, not stuck in a photo session.

That’s why I work fast and intentionally. I use short, bite-sized portrait sessions to capture high-impact images and get you back to the party. My trademark hero shots are a perfect example: no waiting, no awkwardness. You walk into a beautifully set-up scene, I guide you for a few minutes, we take the shot and boom. You’re back to your canapé.

The Yorkshire Collection

Historic Castles

Yorkshire and its borders are full of imposing fortresses. Peckforton Castle's Great Hall swallows daylight — I don't fight the dark, I light it. The result is cinematic, not muddy.

Industrial Mills

Converted mills and brutalist spaces like The Hepworth Wakefield have hard light and harder lines. Most photographers fight the architecture. I use it — the contrast does half the work.

The Dales & Moors

Holmfirth Vineyard and Barden Tower give you about five minutes of perfect sunset light over the moors. Miss it and the shot's gone. I don't miss it.

The Honest Bits

How do you handle dark, historic Yorkshire venues?

Historic venues eat natural light photographers alive. Castles, 12th-century chapels, industrial mills — notoriously dark. I don't rely on the weather; I bring my own light. I'm fast and confident with off-camera flash, so dark venues come out cinematic and vibrant, not muddy. Sunlit garden or pitch-black reception hall — same standard.

Do you cover weddings across all of Yorkshire and the UK?

Yes. I'm a Yorkshire specialist — Leeds, Harrogate, York, West Yorkshire, the Dales — but I cover the whole country. Cheshire castles, London galleries, anywhere couples want me. Travel's part of the job.

Are we going to be posing for hours?

Absolutely not. Maximum impact, minimum fuss. Fifteen minutes for killer portraits, then you're back with your people. The rest of the day I document as it happens — real moments, real energy. Your wedding is a celebration, not an awkward photoshoot.

What makes your style different from traditional photographers?

I don't shoot stiff, vanilla, cookie-cutter weddings. I shoot weddings with actual personality. Bold colours, dramatic lighting, real energy. If you want a zero-BS approach and magazine-grade images, we're a fit.
