Sarah and Euan’s wedding at Holdsworth House was an absolute blast to capture. Perhaps it was because they got married on Valentine’s Day—well done, Euan, I said. There is no way he is ever going to forget his wedding anniversary! Or maybe it was the very unusual late winter sun they had on their wedding date, but everything was just perfect.
Holdsworth House is a wedding venue where I have regularly photographed weddings over the years. Throughout those years, Holdsworth House has always been so constant. Holdsworth House is a historic Jacobean manor wedding venue, with a beautiful garden. For me, that’s what makes Holdsworth House sing to my heart for wedding photography and weddings. So many high-end wedding venues get this wrong, but Holdsworth House does this so right. The walled garden is spectacular, the staff are amazing and friendly, and the hotel is top-notch. Just for fun, let me put Holdsworth House on the timeline for you. The USA was formed in 1776; Holdsworth House dates back to 1272 in one form or another. I am told by the staff at Holdsworth House that the hotel is really popular with American tourists and couples.

Back to the wedding. One of the highlights for me was the total surprise to Euan, the groom, that Sarah had booked a singing waiter. I always know when there is going to be a singing waiter booked beforehand. Honestly, the singing waiters are one of the most fun aspects of weddings for me. It’s so much fun seeing the shock on the guests’ faces when the singing waiters start doing their thing. There really is nothing as fun at a wedding as seeing everybody up and dancing.
Sarah didn’t know this when she was booking her singing waiter, but she booked, in my opinion, one of the best singing waiters I have seen: Julien. Julien needs a shout-out. Hands down, this gentleman is the most talented singing waiter I have had the pleasure of seeing perform. Honestly, if you’re looking for a singing waiter, Julien is your man!
