Mr and Mrs Conway’s Halifax wedding was a special occasion for me for many reasons. Brandon, the groom, is a fellow Wakefield native who fell in love and moved to Halifax to be with Charlotte. They met while playing rugby union with Charlotte’s brother. It was a truly heartwarming love story.
Unfortunately, their wedding plans were derailed by the pandemic and the original date in the summer of 2019 was not possible. However, they persevered and found a new date, but even that was uncertain due to the ongoing situation. In the end, the wedding went ahead and it was a beautiful and joyous occasion. Charlotte and Brandon tied the knot at Halifax Minster in a lovely service featuring a choir.
After the ceremony, we headed to a private residence in the Shibden Valley for the wedding photos and for the couple to start their celebrations. The beautiful Halifax countryside provided the perfect backdrop for the occasion. I was honoured to be a part of Mr and Mrs Conway’s special day and I wish them all the happiness in the world.
