Grantley Hall Wedding - Sarah & Camron
Grantley Hall is an incredible luxury wedding venue in North Yorkshire, just outside Ripon and not far from Fountains Abbey. It’s a five-star hotel with an air of elegance and exclusivity—easily one of the most breathtaking venues I’ve had the privilege of photographing.
From the morning preparations through to the last dance, Grantley Hall offers an experience like no other. The landscaped gardens, grand architecture, and countless stunning spaces make it a dream location for a wedding. There really is nowhere quite like it in Yorkshire, and certainly nowhere that compares in the north of England.
Let me take you through some of the unforgettable moments from Sarah and Cameron’s day.
The Morning of the Wedding
Sarah got ready in the opulent Royal Suite, while Cameron prepared in The Presidential Suite—both settings suited the occasion perfectly. From the moment Matt (my second photographer) and I arrived, alongside Jamie Say, we could tell this was going to be a special one.
The weather played its part too, with glorious spring sunshine that made Grantley Hall look even more spectacular—not unlike Sarah herself, who was an absolute vision.
The Unforgettable Entertainment
There were countless highlights from Sarah and Cameron’s wedding, but one that truly stood out was the incredible band, Sol and the Gang. They kept guests entertained all day, and I have to say, in my ten years of photographing weddings, I’ve seen plenty of bands, DJs, and live acts—but Saul and the Gang were something else.
Before the guests arrived for the reception, Sarah and Cameron had a private performance, just the two of them soaking in the moment. Capturing their joy in that intimate setting gave me goosebumps. That’s the magic of wedding photography—freezing moments like that in time.

Where do I even begin? From those early morning bridal party portraits in the Queen Suite to the emotional moment when Sarah and Cameron’s children teared up watching their parents sign the wedding register, the day was filled with heartfelt moments.
The setting itself was a dream, with Grantley Hall providing endless opportunities for beautiful portraits. Honestly, we could have spent hours wandering the grounds, capturing frame after frame of perfection. But the true highlight? The sheer happiness of Sarah and Cameron, surrounded by loved ones, having the best day of their lives.

As a photographer, I can confidently say it’s one of the easiest places to capture stunning images. Everywhere you turn, there’s another breathtaking backdrop.
