Tadcaster Countryside Wedding Mr & Mrs Watson
North Yorkshire Countryside Wedding – Mr & Mrs Watson’s Mr and Mrs Watson’s international Yorkshire countryside wedding was a truly unforgettable event. With
It was my first time photographing a wedding at Villa Farm and Barn in York, North Yorkshire, for Bethany and Lewis’s autumnal wedding. And oh my gosh, how did I not know about this wedding venue? And how amazing do these images look?
Luckily, I already had a good connection with Bethany and Lewis as a couple of years ago I photographed Bethany’s sister Sarah’s wedding at the beautiful venue Bagden Hall. Bethany was a bridesmaid, so it was lovely that Sarah was now the bridesmaid for her sister Bethany. It’s such a lovely experience to photograph sisters’ weddings and already have that connection with many of the people who are guests at the wedding. In fact, I felt like a guest sometimes at their wedding, but I think that’s just because of how lovely everybody was. One of the loveliest things to see was that Sarah was now a mum to a beautiful little boy. Oh my gosh, it makes me feel old but so happy inside to see things like this happen. Now, back to the wedding!
It’s no lie that my favorite time of year to photograph weddings is autumn. I love the autumn colors from way back when I used to be just a landscape photographer. Now, as a wedding photographer, autumn has always been my favorite time of year for weddings. Photographing autumnal weddings is one of my favorite things to do. The brown colors, the beautiful trees, the overcast perfect lighting – everything about autumn weddings is glorious, and Bethany and Lewis’s wedding was just the same.
As I said earlier, it was my first time at Villa Farm, and I loved it. The staff were brilliant, the grounds were picture-perfect, and for once this season, the weather played ball. It wasn’t too cold, and it definitely wasn’t too warm – it was just a mix. Pretty much perfect!
Bethany and Lewis took a slight risk, and it paid off. What was their risk, you ask? Well, their wedding was outside – quite a bold move to have an outdoor ceremony in the middle of autumn. But oh my gosh, how amazing are these pictures? Their risk definitely paid off, I think.
To keep this blog post brief, I just want to say, if you’re looking to get married at Villa Farm and Barn in York – do it! It’s an amazing venue with amazing staff, and hopefully not the last time I’ll be working with them. The grounds are amazing, especially in autumn.
