Tom and Bex’s wedding was a true highlight of my year as a wedding photographer. Their beautiful and unique theme, ‘Countryside Rustic Chic,’ was expertly executed and made for a truly memorable and picturesque wedding at the Tadcaster Countryside. From the stunning decor and details to the joy and emotion of the day, this was a wedding that I will never forget. I was honoured to be a part of it and to capture the special moments and memories for the happy couple
My day started with a drive to Tom and Bex’s House for bridal preparations and to meet videographer Adam, from Delirious Weddings
As I arrived at Tom and Bex’s beautiful home for the bridal preparations, I was immediately struck by the charm and character of their historic coach house. Located just outside of Tadcaster, this house had a rich history and a story all its own, and it was the perfect setting for the start of Tom and Bex’s wedding day. Meeting videographer Adam from Delirious Weddings, we began to capture the excitement and anticipation of the morning, as Bex and her bridal party prepared for the big event. It was a joy to be a part of this special moment and to witness the start of a new chapter in the history of this beautiful house.
After the bridal preparations, we made our way to the beautiful and intimate St. Andrew’s Church in Newton Kyme for the wedding service. Surrounded by rolling fields and curious cows, this little church provided the perfect countryside setting for Tom and Bex’s special moment. Following the ceremony, the guests boarded a vintage York Pulman double-decker bus, which whisked them away to the reception venue. It was a fun and unique way to start the celebrations, and the cows seemed to enjoy watching the guests embark on their journey. (See the picture below for a glimpse of the bovine spectators!)
Tom and Bex’s wedding reception was a true celebration of their love and commitment to each other. Held in their beautiful garden and featuring a rustically decorated Yorkshire Yurt, complete with a bar and dancefloor, this was a party that will be remembered for years to come. As the couple and their guests danced the night away, I was struck by the joy and love that filled the air. Despite the unpredictable weather, Tom and Bex’s wedding proved to me once again that the most important thing on a wedding day is the love between the couple and the support of their friends and family. Congratulations, Tom and Bex, and thank you for letting me be a part of your special day.
