The shoot typically takes around 1 hour giving you ample time to get comfortable in front of the camera and for us to get to know each other better. Plus, if you decide to book me for your wedding day after the shoot, you’ll receive a special thank-you – the full cost of your pre-wedding shoot will be deducted from the cost of your wedding day package. I have an extensive list of beautiful locations for pre-wedding/engagement shoots, including picturesque woodlands and stunning rose gardens. However, I always welcome the opportunity to shoot at the couple’s preferred location.
And the best part? If the location is within Yorkshire, there’s no additional travel cost.
Almost nobody books a pre-wedding shoot because they enjoy being photographed. Most people book one because they are not used to it, and would rather not find out how it feels for the first time on the morning of their wedding.
So it is not a fashion shoot and it is not a rehearsal. It is a walk.
A beauty spot, usually one that means something to you, somewhere you can walk for an hour without it being a hike.
Partly because I am nosy, mostly because the more I know about you the better I can photograph your wedding. You will end up talking to each other and forgetting I am there, which is exactly the point.
I ease you into it over the course of the walk rather than starting with it. By the end you will be doing things you would have refused in the first ten minutes.
That is half the value. On the wedding day you already know how I work, how close I stand and how much I am going to ask of you, so nothing about me is a surprise.
