Holiday In Northumberland In Pictures

5th November 2017

One thing I love about Northumberland is how easy it is to get there from where I live! Straight up the M1. I suppose that’s one reason as well as the beauty aspect of the place is why I sometimes can be found on my days off walking the beaches taken photographs of the many beautiful castles.

So when I decided I needed a short break, Northumberland was a natural choice.

My Mum and Dad joined me and Charlie, my son on our short trip away. We stayed in the beautiful village of Alnmouth at the Schooner Hotel.

The Schooner hotel is more than 400 years old and is a great old building with a lot of history and character. We enjoyed our stay here loads but we didn’t see a ghost! Apparently, the hotel is one of the most haunted in the county. The hotel is currently in the process of being renovated, The Manager was fantastic with my son Charlie, and I can not wait to stay there again and see it after renovations.

We fitted a lot in the short time in our visit up North, We visited in no order Alnmouth, Alnwick Morpeth Barter books, Newton by the Sea, Craster, Seahouses and Bambrough

Hope you enjoy the images I captured! check out this video of the double rainbow at the bottom too!

If you are planning a trip to the UK for a holiday, Your RV Lifestyle have compiled a fantastic blog post with 100 things to do in England go check that out! Lots of the places they coved were new to me!
